TITLE:         No Time for Love, a Novel

AUTHOR:     JB Miller

GENRE:       Chick Lit

RATING:

I have found myself off the "chick lit" genre lately because, frankly, I could not find anything I truly enjoyed reading anymore - fortunately, I made an exception for No Time for Love and I was hooked.

This story is fun - and kind of inspirational in a way.  The main character has lost her hubby a few years ago and has been managing her life to the best of her ability - dealing with her children and whatever comes her way, she is happy - she does not need anyone in her life - not really.

But, of course, god forbid life should be that easy :)  What follows is a wonderful story.  I loved the easy going writing style that make me feel as though I was actually part of the story .

Chatham (great name by the way) finds herself conflicted with the fact that she now has two loves one from the past and one from the present - but which one will be with her for her future?

I actually had my hopes on one particular guy - but I ended up being wrong :)  I think what I found the most intriguing about the story was the fact that Chatham was kind of forced to go back to her past and try to reconcile parts of it with her present and her future - which is always daunting in my opinion.  I recently had to make peace with my past and the fact that you truly can never "go home again" because the reality is - everybody changes and the past is only in your memory anyway.  Rude awakening - so I felt for Chatham.

Having said this though, the story is truly engaging and Chatham is a fun main character that I truly enjoyed.

I liked, liked this book.
